Default Power Commander

OK thoughts on these things please.

I have a high level Remus Can on my SV650 pointy K6. I am thinking of getting a K&N filter and removing the snorkel. This combination of changes is obviously going to cause the bike to run lean.

If I get a power commander and put it on and run it on the base map willl that help?

I can order a power commander from JB Racing and they will pre load a map on the commander if I give them my modifications.

Question is: Is the second option any good, or am I as well taking the bike to dyno and getting a custom map. Which means a fair ride for me round here. Which is why I like option 2??

A custom map will aways be better, the power commander will be "ball park" probably over rich to air on the side of caution.

Cheers Mark.
