Default New member, new track bike

Good morning all.
I've just picked up a track prepared K3 SV650.
Because you can't trust what people put on eBay adverts,
I've given it a good once over, a good service.
Put a KTech kit in the front (GSXR K6) and a nice new Brembo RCS Corsa Corta on. Dyno run yesterday to make sure it's all running OK.
My question is, an I looking for any issues or nuances that the bikes have as I've never ridden one. I've not been on a track for 10 years and don't ride on the roads any more.

Any feedback more than welcome. You can never have enough info.

Thanks.

Paul

I'm not a track rider but TSM on here races an SV in Supertwins so he would be a good source of info.

James Holland Racing would also be useful as he used to prepare race spec SV's

I've done everything I can do now with it. Brakes will need another bleed when I get there tomorrow. Vans loaded, Donington here we come. I'm actually quite apprehensive after not being on track for 10 + years.

You'll be fine. Just build up your place slowly and watch some of the other riders for lines and braking points etc.

Good for you. Any issues? Any changes you'll make for next time?

Yes, the bike has a pit lane limiter on it, from its initial TT build. The engine bottled and spluttered in 2ND so I could only ride in 3rd to 6th. I need to strip the loom out and remove the pit lane switch and cables.
Needs stomp grips for my knees. Need to switch it to race shift too. Had a few false neutrals from poor gear engagement going up through the box, so stomping down to change up is much better. Need a Gear indicator as I kept forgetting my gear and when I went to change 6th, I was already in it and the Quick Shifter just cut the revs.
I really enjoyed it though.
It was a really enjoyable first time out for 10 years though.
