Longer throttle cables curvy naked
Has anyone used throttle cables from another Suzuki?
My naked 99 has standard bars(I think)chrome metal have tried with risers but still don't like the position. Have got Renthal low to go on but brake hose & throttle cables are to short. No probs have got a longer brake hose from Venhill(half reasonable price) but cables are soooh expensive! I have found GSXR 1000 '03 look like they are identical but are about 75-80mm longer, can get at a half reasonable price on fleabay or Wemoto Any help appreciated |

Re: Longer throttle cables curvy naked
I've fitted Fatbars to my (faired) curvy and the standard throttle cables were long enough!

Re: Longer throttle cables curvy naked
Standard should fit if you route them from switches to frame instead of round the fork

Blueperson you are a star !!
I think you might have saved me a few quid(that I can now spend on a flyscreen or seat re-trim!) I can see you've routed the throttle cables & the wiring(?) behind the forks, can't quite see if your clutch & choke cables are original position though, Did you change them as well? Maybe could have gone for medium renthals now,(bugger) will give a try at the weekend & see Just noticed the forks seem to have about 15mm sticking up from the yoke, aren't they meant to be level |

If you're not happy go back to level, and try 5mm at a time until you get to where they are now.

Re: Longer throttle cables curvy naked
All cables are standard faired curvy. Clutch in front of forkleg and the rest from the left bar behind. The forks are dropped as I'm using a 70 section section front tyre instead of the standard 60 and the 6mm drop evens out the geometry to stop it feeling like a chopper
