ZX10R k5/k6 Rear Shock with linkage and dogbones £150 ONO
Hi,
I have a spare ZX10R k6/k7 Rear Shock for sale which includes ZX10R linkage and dogbones. It has been taken out of a 9k km (~5600 mile) bike according to the breakers. Quite a rare find these days. As a matter of fact, I had to have it shipped in from Eastern Europe. £150 ONO for collection in person. I can drop it off within reasonable distance around Derby - Nottingham area. I can look into shipping cost if there would be any interest in it. I'll try to answer any questions you might have about it. Last edited by Qkley; 18-04-18 at 12:47 PM. Reason: Wrong year |

Right, not that many SV650s in Derby - Nottingham area I assume? I'll throw in a free myHermes or similarly priced shipping within the UK in the £150 price.
Please be aware that this k6/k7 ZX10R shock is a pretty much drop-in replacement for SV650/S OE shock with no cutting necessary. You will, however, need to remove the redundant battery box cover/protector. Please feel free to ask any questions. |

Is the shock still available? And does it need to have the dogbones to fit the SV?...

Re: ZX10R k5/k6 Rear Shock with linkage and dogbones £150 ONO
Yes, the shock is still available.
If you are fitting it to SV you would reuse your stock SV dogbones as well as the top bolt from the stock shock. You would fit ZX10R dogbones only if you want to alter the ride height since they are considerably longer than stock SV dogbones. You will need to use the ZX10R bolt for the bottom as the stock bolt from your SV won't work. For this you have two options - 1) use the ZX10R bottom bolt with a couple of spacers to give the dogbones space for clearance, or 2) use the top bolt from the ZX10R shock on the bottom as it has the perfect length. I did the latter on my SV. Both bolts are included. Overall, the shock has all the bits necessary to be fitted on an SV. |

Thanks for the info, I was really interested, right up to the point where I remembered that I have a GSX-R shock in the shed that would actually do the job! Good luck with your sale
