I will still be fitting them. Saves a serious wedge if you drop the bike and are lucky enough to have them there to save it. Dropped my SV after R&G's fitted - not a mark!

Fitted front axle, fairing and paddock bobbin thingy's to the Gixxer. Might work in a crash but will save a lot of money if i drop or have a low speed slide off.

High speed - its fecked anyway - so whats it matter if bungs snap or not ?

Only good for stationary drops IMO, after that you can forget it.

I had a drop picking up speed down a sloped gravel track (half asleep and left choke on) and the motosliders held up very well...just ground down another few ml, no other damage. Oh and a diesel slide at about 10mph which claimed my rev counter but probably would have claimed a lot more besides without the bungs. For a naked bike they're worth their weight in gold I reckon, perhaps far less functional on faired bikes with more stuff to scuff and scrape.

I had bikesliders fitted originally and in a similar spill, they worked, ground down a bit and didn't really save anything on the bike, but they performed as expected. But they were replaced by R&G sliders because the insurance couldn't source identical ones. It's a bit frustrating that they're more expensive and not as good.

I do remember a split second of sliding down the road thinking "is that my slider?" as it whizzed off across the tarmac.

To be fair its not crash bungs at fault its the rubbish bracket suzuki supply to fit fairing to bike. Its a piece of crap and hollow with no strength at all mine snapped as well. All r&g would say is there product worked its the bracket that failed. I hope you get it sorted mate. I was unlucky the brackets were main reason my bike was writen off as they snapped they inpailed the engine

There's no Suzuki brackets as I don't have lower fairings. These mount on a bracket that spans across two engine bolts, and then a bolt through the slider fixing it to the bracket. This bolt just snapped clean off.

Don't drop your bike while stationary, or buy a bike with engine bars and no expensive fairing.

R&G come with a separate bung frame which is a loooot more substantial.
