Bolts on Reg/Rec stuck

Call me an idiot but is there a special screw driver needed to remove the reg/rec from a curvy?

On mine I have two big crosshead screw/bolt things but not like normal bolts/screws.

I tried a normal crosshead and a flat head screw driver and none of them fit well enough to undo the screw

Any ideas?

I have no idea what it is you're trying to remove but it might be a torx screwdriver, they look a bit like a phillips head but with more slots.

Nope its not one of those. Its like a double flat head screw in an X shape.

i think mine was held on with 10mm sockethead bolts

yeah... i just looked at the parts fiche at Alpha sports and it looks completey different to what is holding the reg/rec on......

Bugger....looks like someone has bodged it....

sounds like they are phillips head screws?

ohhhhhhhh

they are nasty little things, cos you cant get a screwdriver to fit properly.
a phillips is no good.......... you just need a big flat head screwdriver.

Ah... its not just me being a ham fisted nitwit then....

Have you tried wacking the screwdriver with a hammer when its in the bolt? This might help to break it from the thread. Also, try soaking with e.g. wd40 overnight
