Real road racing SV`s
Hi, I was just wondering if anyone out there has any experience with real road racing on SV`s ?
What prep or mods are required compared to short circuits, engine mods etc, gearing etc ? pics ? Cheers Pipey |

Re: Real road racing SV`s
I rally one, which is basically closed public roads against the clock. Roads vary from tiny lanes covered in gravel to fast sweeping tarmac. My K5 has a GSXR 600 K4 front, some big straight bars and currently a GSXR 600 K4 shock although the jury is currently out on that. I did have a 750 SRAD one in there and that felt softer and more progressive, but the 600 one is definitely better on the fast bends. Engine is standard apart from the usual air filter and it's got a full M4 exhaust system (but a Leo Vince pipe). I sometimes drop a tooth on the front sprocket if they are tight stages but sometimes you need the top end just as much and the engine is pretty flexible on gearing.
It's quite competitive. |
