Unhappy What A Numpty!!

Just picture the scene!

A beautiful sunday morning a slight frost disappearing slowly & just the best looking day this year for a ride.

The SV650S is wheeled out of the garage & left outside to breath its first fresh air of the new year whilst its owner goes inside to put his leathers on (rather tight leathers due to too much festivities!!)

I switch the alarm off & sit astride my beautiful steed ready to enjoy the ride of my life.

Turn the key, and the lights go on ready to hear the engine fire up.......
......
.....
.....
.....
.....
.....
.....
.....
Bo**ocks the bike won't turn over........The battery has run flat due to the alarm.

But no worries one optimiser & paddock stand later annnnnnnnd

SHE LIVES AGAIN

All i can say is if there is a god, please let the weather be kind this weekend coming because i just cant wait to get out there

Hope everyone has had a better start to the year & I look forward to see you all soon.

Well the battery is now connected to its new best friend now. I just never thought of buying one until the need arose.

Had my bike standing for a couple of months and it still started afterwards, so i would not completley blaim alarms unless some numpty installed it or a cheepo one. Saying that the one issue i have had for the last year is that sometimes it wont start, quick twiddle of the key and all is ok again.

I have a laserline alram fitted to my Sv. Its been on there from new, and has never ever given me an ounce of trouble. (There that jinxed it) Anyhoo, i had my bike of the orad for 4 months i think i was with the alwarm on, in sleep mode (Auto feature of the alarm, with something like .5mA draw) and she started first time. Some of these bike alarams, do not have a 'sleep' mode and still draw full current. I couldnt recomend Laserline enough. Had one on 2 of my last cars as well.
