Poor bloke! WOuld be interested to see how his bike is modified though.

And he races?!

Actualy, once at brands hatch i saw a guy going round with one arm. Alot faster than most people. And there was something i saw on TV years ago, some guy who races/raced an R6 with only one arm, he was bloody quick too

"But the hand, which costs £450 to replace, was taken when he left it attached to his 400cc Suzuki DR-Z400SM while he was visiting his girlfriend last week.
"It was the first time I had left my hand on the bike," he said. "I thought I was only going to be 10 minutes, but I ended up staying for two hours."

What were they up to then?

An experiment one of the bike mags did re: disabilities showed having only one arm didn't make as much of a difference as you'd think. They had Ron Haslam riding around on a standard bike (IE he was doing clutchless changes) without using his left arm and he was only 3.5 secs slower, IIRC. Also bear in mind he lacked the arm strength to brace hard when braking hard, whereas this guy would have developed bigger arm muscles to partially deal with this and you can see how they can still be so quick.

There was a guy at Mallory a few months back on a zx9r (I think) I was sitting next to him in the holding area, wondering why his clip-on was about twice the length it should be and then I saw he only had one arm. Never saw him when we were out on track though.

Probably not just a hand job then.
