As today seems the better of the two days this weekend I think I will remove the cobwebs and dust so is anybody about for a run and cuppa?

You did very very well with your carving-----Looks just like a Kwak
![]() "Pookies Pumpkin" I didn't think it was cold but the low sun on wet roads was a bit difficult in places so I went both ways round the Dengie. Last edited by Dicky Ticker; 30-10-10 at 04:23 PM. |

I had a bit of a scare today, thoroughly shat my pants getting on the power too early out of a corner and slaloming the backend for a bit
![]() All part of the experience though! |

This is the time of year just before the proper onset of winter when you have greasy roads with wet patches and a bit later we will have the odd frosty patch which hasn't had sunlight on it so winding the throttle on when you are not sure of the road surface can be very dicey.
My advice is slow down a little and be sure of what is under your rubber unless you want to become another statistic on the "JUST HAD AN OFF" club. This is my advice which you can completely disregard if you wish |

Thanks.
Defo was not ice, more like grease...but I am purposely using the bike when its wet now, just to gain a bit of experience. |

I used to get really nervy when riding in the rain, and thoroughly hated corners, do still take extra care, but tensing up when riding wasnt helping me.
Wish Id not taken my bike off the road so early this year, but all my fave roads seem to be extensions of farmers fields lately, the roads out towards tiptree way seem especially bad. |

Roads looked very dodgy out the back of Epping this morning, lots of leaves coming down, onto an already damp road - "let's be careful out there"

I'd love to be able to use the car but the missus has it every day, and I wouldn't be able to park anywhere when I got to work
![]() Leebex - those roads around Ardleigh still treacherous? I threw an almost brand new GPZ600r down the road there in the late 80s ![]() |
