Good Day In The Workshop
Well, been getting all the bits together to fit an undertray, and today was D-Day.
Round to a mates workshop we go and get giddy with the tools........ Obviously still needs painting, needed to get it on and drilled etc today. Pics are poo, I took 'em tonight when I got home. The undertray for those interested is one from an E-Bay seller from Germany, and I got it for £19 - fits well and doesn't need trimming. Only thing needed was hole drilling to mount it at the rear, and to mount the tail tidy. I've used a universal Rrsend, and original diddlycators. I've also fitted an LED numberplate light, which just needed a 12mm hole. For the eagle eyed one amongst you, I got a new plate too. Got it made up at the MCN Butlins do last year - so here I am spreading the love.............................. :P And then................. I went on to fit the Fibre-Lyte carbon fibre heelplates I picked up. Not too sure on these myself yet, what cha think? Finished off the day by fitting a set of DHM bobbins, which had been sitting on the shelf for a month or so. Then finished off the day with a nice long ride home and just missed the rain The End

That undertray looks nice (not the pic is a little cleaned up :P) It'll look better when painted no doubt.

Not to keen on the carbon heel plates. Look well out of place on a bike like the Sv and dare I say, they kind of look DIY-ish and unfinished. Or perhaps the Sv just isn't tarty or sporty enough to have them on. Get the originals polished up and they will look 10x better.
Rest is looking ace though. |

Re: Good Day In The Workshop
You know what would make those carbon fibre heel plates look loads better? Paint the rearsets black. It's what I intend to do this weekend.

Re: Good Day In The Workshop
I hate carbon fibre bolt-ons... As part of a bike's overall design, it's great, as an afterthought I'm not a fan. But heel plates are one of the few places that it doesn't completely suck It's actually quite a good application for the stuff.
But at the end of the day, who cares? It's your bike
