Default GM2015 - Getting there thread.

Now we all know that is Lance is going the long way round but how are you planning to get there?

I have a weather dependent plan for myself to get myself there for mid to late afternoon.

At the moment I am planning This Route for myself and thought I'd shout it out so people can join me if they feel like it.

Morning would be a quick stop in Inveraray, then lunch in the Tayvallich Coffee Shop.
Afternoon would be a quick stop in the Oban Tesco for another leg stretch and fuel, then onto Kinlochleven.

So, how are you guys getting to this Years GM?

I'm thinking about 10am, if the weather is a bit poor I'd be doing a very similar route to yourself, just to get up to the hotel as quickly as I can.

dont take the A75 and A77 through D&G or the A78. might look a nice road to take but you will want to cut your throat by the end of it.

my advice is from the lakes take the A7 up to Edinburgh then over the bridge (i'll post a sneaky way through the shizz) then up to creiff and over to kinlochleven

Bloody Hell Charlie that's a trek and a half!! Will you still be able to walk when you get to Scotland?!?

Dean, if the weathers OK I'll see you at J&S, if its poor I'll see you at McDonald's. If you pm me your mobile number I'll text you when I get to my mum and dad's, just so you'd know for sure. If that's OK with you of course.

I'm stopping at a B&B in Carlisle overnight so over two days, else I would stand no chance of walking! I'll work out an improved route with your suggestions once you write up your cheat sheet then, thanks Lance

What happened last time DB?

you could always blast up the M74 from Carlisle and meet up with Chucca at J&S as the route he is taking is a cracker.
