Getting on really well with the new laptop but there is an annoying chirp every so often. I have done some digging and apparently its a known thing with Seagate hard drives. I think its the head parking itself before spooling up again.

The idea being you can load it onto a usb stick (I think 6Gb is sufficient) and install from that. You might need rufus software to make it bootable (which can be fun all by itself). I couldn't get it to work because at the time there was a bug that prevented it from accepting an OEM Win10 version (as opposed to a retail Win10 version).

Maybe it's working now (I last tried 8 months ago).
I just used it to creat a bootable USB (8GB),used Windows Media Creation Tool to get Windows 10 iso (2.2GB) and burn it to a drive (USB).I see in this thread that no bootable disk was recognized when the computer was rebooted, why?I guess there's something wrong with the Windows bootable disc, how was it made? The right way to create Win 10 bootable USB:
Download Windows iso,and burn it to a drvice (DVD/CD or USB),i think 8GB USB is enough, then plug it into the computer and set the boot order for the computer.
