Airbox snorkel!!
Hi all, thinking of getting some tank raisers and either removing the airbox snorkle or fitting 1 from the the thou
Would like to remove it but has any1 done this and had any problems? Was thinking of maybe putting a piece of mesh over the hole Been looking and dont think rain would get there but would like to check as i use my bike everyday thanks |

I would leave it be unless you want to re-jet. De Snorkeled mine and it ran like a dog.

Re: Airbox snorkel!!
I've taken mine out plus fitted tank raisers with no problems (K7 650) and it definitely sounds nicer, if nothing else. I haven't fitted anything over the front but have had no problems with water in the airbox, and it's used daily, whatever the weather. Just be careful when you wash the bike that you don't spray it all into the hole.

Re: Airbox snorkel!!
Too "boomy" in my opinion. Nice when you blip it, not so nice on sustained acceleration.
If sound is your only reason for it then give it a try, snorkel comes out dead easy, but it's not something I wanted for long. |

Re: Airbox snorkel!!
I wouldn't worry about water in the airbox, although mine is faired, the headlight and all of the gubbins are still in the way of the front of the tank on the naked. I could pitch the idea to my brother who has a K7 naked, and see if his is affected
