Even though we are not in Schengen any citizen of an EU member can come into UK without a visa by presenting a valid passport, and can live and work here under 'EU free movement' (not schengen rules) no questions asked. Within shengen there are no passport checks and you don't even have to really carry a passport - just an ID card - this is the reason terrorists from eg. Spain can be in Belgium within 24 hours, no questions asked, they can slip across borders as though they don't exist (which is the ultimate aim of the EU - just one big one beige coloured homogenous area).

SV650rules, you said:

The point I made was that this is not true. If an individual doesn't have a job and has no way of supporting themselves, (or health insurance) the host nation can expel them so they are not a burden. The host can also expel for threats to the state, public policy or public health.

Europe cant be blamed giving these rights to member nations, or failing to use them.

Indeed, some proper sport! Don't get me wrong I'll probably watch the odd game of the football, but I couldn't really give a monkeys about it!

It's hard to put into words how it feels to live in a country where little children are being locked away in cages because their parents may or may not have committed a misdemeanor crime.
Just as bad is hearing people who support it.

With a global trade war looming with every ally and trade partner we have, it's a sad day to be living in the US.

If only I could win the lottery my first stop after collecting the winnings would be the international terminal at the nearest airport.

The once mighty symbol of freedom to the world is now a global disgrace and on the UN's list of countries with human rights violations.

And that's what I don't get, with this sort of thing taking shape surely the population would be getting concerned...are there really that many that think it's okay to have such a monster as president (couldn't think of a better word)
