Curvy - Starting issues
Recently I have noticed that my bike can be a pain to get started after being ridden.
For example I rode it to work Sat parked it up (in the sun) about 5 hours later I went to ride away and initially the switch was dead (intermittent problem) but then when it turned it wouldnt fire, I had to hold the throttle half open and after many attempts and one time of it firing but dying it started and rode home fine. Now yesterday the same thing happened and the bike had only been parked for 45 mins but I did also notice it stank of petrol but with no visible leaks, again the half throttle approach worked. Its a 2000 SVs and has always started on the button, no issues whatsoever. Any ideas? |
