Got your bill yet?
While the services have gone down substantially, the powers-that-be have done the noble thing and maintained the charge at last year's level
Can someone please explain how stealth tax works?

You work hard.
Government takes most of your money.
Government gives some it to people who don't want to work then spends the rest on moats and duck houses.

Beginning to get it - this is LOCAL govvernment.
" You work hard.

Then: Local Government takes rest of your money.
Local Government gives some it to people who don't want to work but were ' employed ' in one of the wacky non-jobs that have proliferated so vigourously then spends the rest on pie in the sky empire-building.
Thanks for that L3nny.

Our local council are building a vertical pier for £xx million.

A vertical 'ducking pier! WTF do we want a vertical pier for!? Oh I forgot... we'll all want to stroll along the VERTICAL pier! How the duck do you stroll along a vertical pier FFS.

At least we'll get a better view of the town falling to bits...

And our council tax has gone down 63p Whoopee Ducking Do.
