Silverstone GP - Mon 31 March

There is a massive car-park area outside the main gate. They open them the night before, it is free to camp. But it is JUST tarmac, so if you intend to bring a tent, bear that in mind ... I tend to sleep in my van, so it isn't an issue!

There is indeed a Travellodge thingy at Towcester (sp) ~5 miles down the road!

Lucky you.

Despite living so close, I've spent far more time 90 miles away at Brands Hatch than I have at Silverstone. In fact, I think I've only watched bikes circulating there 3 times in all the years I've lived in the UK, but I could be at Brands twice a month for racing and trackdays most summers.

Never noticed this thread. I dont want my first bike trackday to be a wet one which is the only thing putting me off, but I dont want to wait until the end for them to wack the price up either .

Is anyone going to be traveling down the M1 from the north junction 27ish?

You should definitely go! Especially Silverstone as there is loads to see. Access isn't restricted at all for spectators so you can wander around the pitlane/garages/paddock areas - Some of the kit that these guys have is just
