Security?
Hi
is there a lock/chain/d/u lock that can't be cut or sawn open? Also has anyone used the grip lock? Cheers |

Re: Security?
Chain, almax.
Lock, plenty of good quality ones that would be a pain in the rse to chop through. D/U lock no idea. Depends on how desireable the bike is, and how many other layers of security you have.

Re: Security?
we use something similar to the grip lock on the TS50 and tbh it's not that substantial

Re: Security?
Yep, the whole target of security is to make your bike more of an effort to nick than the next one down the street.
If you have an alarmed garage then the target is to make your security last long enough to get a line of fire on the garage door. Similar target if it is parked in the house.

Definitely. I wouldn't rely on just one item of security. As YC says it's just a casae of making your bike harder to nick than the one down the road, but if they really want your bike they will have it one way or another

Re: Security?
The only total security is to be stood behind it with a 12 bore, and that isn't particularly practical.
Though my mate says his rottweiler sleeping in the garage is fairly secure.

Re: Security?
as above, Almax chain with a squire closed shackle padlock. Can't be cropped and allegedly the immobiliser IV takes 2 angle grinder batteries to get through.
