Default Heavy bar end weights?

Can anyone recommend any heavy bar end weights? No none seems to list the weights in online stores. Looking to help reduce vibration on the bars of a 250 single at hi revs. So guessing heavier the better. To fit 22mm bars.

Oberon large stainless bar ends have a decent heft.

They need to be the stainless steel mind. The aluminium bar ends weigh nowt.

you may want to try getting a pair of early GSXF (600 &750 are the same), they are two piece a lead inner and a steel cover, almost twice the weight of standard SV ones.

To test if it will work with heavier weights get some plumbers solder (its about 5mm diameter, most hardware shops like B&Q sell it) and wrap it either round existing weights (if they have a protruding section ) or as near to end of bars as you can get, you can easily add and remove weight in this way. If the extra weight does not damp vibration you needn't waste money getting heavier weights - and need to look at something else as a cure for vibration.

I've got a set of the lighter ones on mine and they make a big difference.

I noticed that my Renthal ultra-low bars vibrate a lot less than my standards even though they are ali. Summat to do with the fact they are double skinned or double thick walled.

Or you could pour lead shot into your bars? Available from gunshops in bottles.

Although you're looking for a 250 single, my Sv has R&G bar ends, as I have Gilles Vario Bars, which don't use the standard SV bar ends.

I don't notice any vibration through the bars & these are a lot lighter than standard SV bar ends. I also have Rethal grips.

I have a friend the claims you can pour sand into your bars and that would work as a dampener.

But I'm pretty sure he worked in a chip shop and claimed he was Elvis.

heavy bar ends can make matters worse. ask yourself 'what is vibration' then think about a badly designed bridge.
