Default Lazy Sundays..... not me.

Sat in bed yesterday morning and watched Children of Men, good film like.

Eventually crawled out the pit at half past one. Ooh 'eck, whats this? Sunny n dry! Damn, should have gone for a blast.

OK, lets get rolling. Eventually got underway at half 3! Think I'll tackle the south end of the island, newly tarred roads down there heading for Armadale.

Despite nearly getting wiped out by a corner-cutting Range Rover idiot as i was about to overtake him on a right hander - we got there just as the Mallaig ferry arrived @ 4.45pm.

Completely unplanned trip across. Spoke to a group of guys on the ferry riding BMW GS's doing a 'Wrong way round' UK trip for charideee. 16 bikes aboard on this crossing alone - ferry dude was getting a bit fed up with ratchet straps! So much so, he didn't have enough, so i'm strap-less here!

Mallaig harbour was bathed in sunshine when we got there!

A bite to eat in the wee cafe upon landing to warm the bones. And we're off...

We then took the lovely route back thru Arrochar/Glenfinnan to Ft William. Quick tank refill, and head back for Skye.

Stopped at the viewpoint at Invergarry. Amanda does her best Alec Salmond impersonation "Scotland - you're in the palm of my hand now"

It was a little breezy n cold up there, and i'm caught red-handed, as it were!

Amanda: "I'm bleedin freezin here too! C'mon,....."
Me: (Lol) "Yes, huny."

Got home about 9.15, just at sundown. 210 miles all in. We're both knackered, buzzing, a bit chilly at the end, but so glad we did it.

There's something about a spur of the moment run that's just fantastic.

Meant to say...
Amongst a group of 3 or 4, we passed a pointy silver SV-S (thou???) with purple headlight covers heading towards Mallaig from Ft William at about 7pm i'd say. Anyone we know?
