They're as good as anything and if you spend a bizarre amount of dosh on iridium tipped plugs will you honestly know the difference?

I use the iridium plugs (£15 a pair from http://www.spark-plugs.co.uk/ , is that bizarre )

there are genuine benefits but they are quite subtle. You won't get any more power, but it can help smooth it out just a bit, and especially with carbs it can help hide difficulties in fuelling like "tip-in" after overrun, or cold starting.

If you don't notice small differences then stick to std plugs. If you're picky, use iridium. They last a lot longer then ordinary ones, so you can offset most of the cost eventually.

Somehow I thought they were fifteen quid each , I suppose for a pair they might be worth trying.

I picked up 4 CR8EIXs for £20 a while back on Ebay... I honestly couldn't tell you if they give any benefit other than cold starting, but they're definately better for that.
