Default How Involved Is Your Other Half?

I am interested to know just how much involvement other people's partners have with their bikes and biking. I love the SV as much as Pete does, and we rack up thousands of miles together every year, but it seems from reading a lot of posts on here that we are in a minority in that respect. I also do all the cleaning and polishing of the bike, and am quite happy to get in there and get mucky if any work needs doing to it.

So just how involved does your other half get?

Other half, Kamakazy, has the SV, I'm the infiltrator with the tona! She loves bikes but prefers to ride rather than pillion. Just getting her confidence back after a number of years without a bike.
I have to do all the maintenance though but its swings and roundabouts with other chores!
The SV has a CCC exhaust minus baffle. When at a junction etc she is always first to blip the throttle

Hubby has a few bikes as well and I met him at a bike rally many years ago so I would say we both love bikes I didn't have a bike when we met but passed my test soon after and got myself a bike

At first it was a "I hate bikes don't even tell me when your out in it"

but now she will jump on the back for a quick ride and a stop at a nice pub for lunch then the ride home again, thats about it.

Only taken 2 years to get her that far!

Mrs Skip has been pillion but said it wasnt really for her - if its a nice day she actually tells me to go out! I love her!

Mrs Tricky enjoys a blast on the back once in while.
More so than I do taking her, as she has not quite grasped the meaning of "sit still" yet.

Her involvment also extends to asking me silly questions when I'm working on the bike, normally when I have tools and bits and bike everywhere and things are going badly.

She does bring me plenty of cups of tea out to garage though

Mrs Ed hates bikes and biking, and anything to do with bikes and biking, full stop. I will never change it and so I've given up trying.

Miss Kylie was ok for me to get a bike so long as we sold one of our cars (no concern for my safety, but concerned about my wallet!). She'll go pillion when there is a point to it, like getting free parking at the airport or cheap eurotunnel ticket, but doesn't really enjoy it.

But to be fair now I commute on the bike everyday I rarely go for a ride for fun either..
