Re: Waiting on V5 / starting servicing?
Quote:
Could be they were waiting on the V5 and have given you the green slip from the V5 they were given when they bought it, I have seen that happen before. If you did see it then they have done the change to you but the form hasn't arrived. Not heard of a V67 but I am pretty sure you can tax at post office with V62 and the green slip and not have to pay the £25 fee. You need valid MOT and Insurance to be able to tax a vehicle but you can take a vehicle without tax and MOT to the nearest testing station via the shortest route for a pre-booked MOT appointment. Had to do this for the SV recently as MOT ran out in Feb but wasn't done with winter jobs so didn't get it MOT'd until April, only as tax needed to be done doesn't look like it will be getting any real use anytime soon Last edited by aj76; 05-05-20 at 11:12 AM. |

Re: Waiting on V5 / starting servicing?
5 weeks and no V5. Looks like the seller messed up the online transfer, mixed up paperwork and then lost (threw away?) the appropriate bits. So I now have to go the V62 route. Have to allow another 6 weeks and they may not actually do it at the moment at all unless it’s for an HGV due to staff shortages/ covid etc.

You have some luck Adam
Is he paying for the replacement? Difficult on a private sale but if he should really.

Re: Waiting on V5 / starting servicing?
Go with the green slip and tax it at post office and then you shouldn't have to pay

Re: Waiting on V5 / starting servicing?
I had to send the green slip with the V62 so can't tax it at a Post Office.
Seller isn't paying for a replacement. Hopefully I don't have to pay as I sent the green slip with the application.
