As long as you have the green slip ( you said you did ) then I would have no issues getting stuck in. I once waited 2 months for a V5 , called DVLA and gave information from green slip. They sent out another V5 straight away which turned up in 3 days.

I would contact DVLA and ask where the reg is. There must be very few vehicles changing hands just now and I think your docs should have turned up. Possibly the old owner has not sent off the stuff or something has gone adrift?

Hi Adam,
if it was sent in on paper to the DVLA it'll take a while...
"In line with the government’s advice we have a very limited number of staff on-site who are only dealing with applications from those who are directly involved in the response to the COVID-19 pandemic. In particular, we are prioritising applications relating to HGV drivers and key workers to make sure they get any documentation they need as quickly as possible. We are unable to deal with any other paper applications until further notice."

I guess Sean's was done online by a dealer.

Tried to use the green slip to get it taxed online. The website says it is invalid and I should have a full V5 in my name. If I don't then they tell me to go to a link to apply for a V67?

Do you have to have an MOT to get tax? I thought you had to tax it to put it on the road to get to the MOT?

Have you tried again ?
The Gov website does say that it can take a couple of days for their records to update to show a vehicle is mot'd

Yes you do, you can ride/drive to a test centre for a pre booked mot without the vehicle being taxed
