1999 SV650 naked - unsure of sale price to list? - SV650.org

Hello all,

I am new to this forum, but was hoping to
Pick your brains to get a rough value of my SV650.

I have had it a while, but recently decided to sell unfortunately due to other commitments in my life.

i Just don’t know what price to list it at??

it is a SV650, 1999 (T registration). Naked frame. Black painted tank. it is on a KPH clocks but has relevant markers for MPH.

It is in reasonable condition for its age and I have just recently had it serviced and new battery etc. Currently no MOT as the covid restrictions have prevented me doing this.

I have had the tank restored in the past

has anyone got any pointers on price or links to a valuation site that I could use. looking to list it for sale ASAP.

Without MOT------about £200
On the road and MOT-----about £500.

How many miles (or kph)? If low it could be higher than the above price.
I'd also recommend getting it MOT'd. The centres are still open.

Mileage is 51286 km

Seems like I need to get it mot’d to get any sort of money for it

So around 30k miles. About mid , mid to low miles for it's age I suppose. I think the your MOT is the difference between under £500 and over. I'd say £500-£1000 depending on condition and colour, and even where you are in the country. If bidding I'd start it at £650 with MOT and see what activity you get. If classified pitch it at £950 & see what interest you get and work down if needs be.

Don't forget some dealers are still selling these for £1500-£2000 (pretty remarkably, maybe I should say advertising, rather than selling ) which will work in your favour

Probably worth more than you'll get for it as there's so much choice around of lower mileage ones that a lot of people will go for those instead... not that yours is high mileage compared to what they can do. Just that there's a lot around under 30k miles still.

Btw your bike might be affected by the mot extension scheme so could be worth somewhere in the middle without a new test.
