Ah we should have swapped the front ends at last years GM

If I wanted to go café racer I would, but being truthfull I just want the bars on the street to sit a couple of inches lower than they do. clip ons would be too much.

Get a naked SV650 and fit it with a fly screen Nice upright riding position and the fly screen keeps most of the wind off. That's what I have and it was my daily commute until I retired last week.

I ride an Er6n in Thailand and don't really like it. Compared to my F650GS the bars are narrow and on the twisty bumpy roads out there I find it lacking, the seat is an absolute butt killer too. The gears are clunky compared to my SV, and at anything over 50mph you get battered. It feels much more budget than both my GS and my SV. As a bike to commute on over here I guess it would be ok, but I certainly wouldn't swap either of my bikes for one if you paid me!

Jamesmio has just got himself a Tiger 800, seems to be enjoying it.
Anyone know if you can fit the decent looking nose fairing off the Tiger 1050 onto the 800? I love the look of the 1050 Sport but I'd rather have the lower weight and lower seat of the 800. Just not the scared alien face!

Dissapointed by the reviews but it's what I asked for.

Even more dissapointed as I'm biased towards the bike...

Cheers peeps

Not convinced. That little screen wont do much if it's pishing down and you've got a few hundret miles to go...
Besides an sv isn't that great out of the crate either...
