Motorcycle parking "law", guide or something...
Hi,
A good run ended badly, some blind ****** decided to reverse into my bike. There's damage, I've got his details but what I'm wondering is: Is there anything said about how bikes should be parked in relation to the kerb? Or as long as there is no sing, we park like we want (as in parallel or at a right angle to the kerb). Just wondering if someone (insurance company, or the blind ******) could try and view it otherwise than 100% not my fault. Cheers dyz Last edited by dyzio; 22-08-10 at 06:54 PM. |

IMHO I'd say he was completely 100% at fault, as he's not taken care when reversing, no matter how your bike was parked. Poor observation on his/her part

There is no excuse for reversing into a stationary vehicle, he is 100% to blame.

Thanks for that, now let's see how difficult to source the Aprilia parts really are...

Sorry to hear about this Dyzio... that sucks!
Hopefully the parts you need aren't too hard to come by... |

Nope, defo no law on how you park providing its not in an area with parking restrictions (ie double yellows or a sign showing the restrictions).

Thanks, I'll be ringing the insurance tomorrow.
It's probably gonna end up at the dealers round the corner from me, but that's going to take some time as well. Lucky this hasn't happened in June. It's going to hurt the guy's insurance a bit, oem radiator 360 pounds.... side panel... ouch... oh well, it needed a coolant change anyway |

hhhmmmm.. bad luck m8. watch that they dont write off yer bike. another thing is the bike might go on the insurance database as having been damaged.
