the sv fuel tank - SV650.org

i know the sv650 and 1000 is the same size tank in shape and capacity but will my fuel pump fit a 650 tank?

Had a lookey on royayers.com fiches for you.

SV k3-4 pump assemblys are the same part number for 650 and 1000.

k5 650 pump is a different shape/part number. I'm guessing it wouldnt fit anything but a k5 tank.

No info for k5 1000 model on fiche, so couldn't say wheter it remains the same as earlier thou or not, but i guess so....

Just looked on Alpha sports................the fuel pump for both the K5 650 and 1000 is the same, but a different part number to the earlier models.

CRAP! I've just won a K5 on fuel tank on ebay but I've got a K3. Guess I'll be looking for a K5 fuel pump now!!

i was watching that and that the reason i never bid on it, black one wasnt it? if you find your fuel pump does fit let me know.

There's another K5 one going on there at the mo, brand new, may buy it for s**ts and giggles!!

is that the one with the reserve on? Ive email the seller to ask the reserve price but had no reply, i just joined a site called parts gateway -http://www.partsgateway.co.uk/
and they have email me saying they have a tank for £125 delivered, what do you think about the price? the tanks silver so that would save having a respray.

i think i'll just order that one, if i have to buy a tank the wrong colour and have it sprayed it will cost more than that anyway.

I e-mailed that guy too and he said £100 to end early so I'm guessing the reserve is the same, may be worth it as it's brand new but the downside is you'll probably need a new fuel pump and you'll need it resprayed!
