My Telecaster. Skip
Some of you may know i was scratch building my own guitar and wanted finished photo's, i have progress pics but i finished it late last night so here are the final finish pics
It was going to be called skipocaster but thought that was lame so called it Skip as all the timber was out of a skip. It has been an on off project since feb/march time due to work being busy. Cost just over 90 quid including some postage for hardware, varnish, screws ect. Was going to go all out on the electrics but i settled for good average set up as i only play at home. Wilkinson pickup's, which are surprisingly good. Anyway, there you go. Surprised that for once i have actually finished a project that i started, anyone with a trade will tell you the having to do other peoples work all day really doesn't give you the best enthusiasm to do yours when you clock off . *sorry i have a pixel out on my camera Last edited by Wideboy; 07-07-12 at 10:09 AM. |

That looks amazing. I've got a mate who's a luthier (guitar maker) so I know how difficult it is, especially getting the frets in exactly the right place.

Nice work feller , will probably need a few tweaks once it has settled in . Usually need a fret dress once the neck has settled down and the truss rod is adjusted to the correct relief .
