Meta Alarm Removal
I've run into a problem with stripping the bike down. The alarm unit wires pass through a hole in the subframe and rear mudguard. Obviously it is too big to go through and the wires disappear into the loom. I don't really want to cut it off, not least of all because I reckon it'll set the alarm off. Any tips guys?

Re: Meta Alarm Removal
Can you open the alarm unit up and disconnect it more easily in there? Otherwise I think....you don't really have any choice - well, unless the other end of the loom will fit through the hole (so you can pull all the wiring through the other way).

Re: Meta Alarm Removal
you may well have to open up the loom and un wire the alarm back to the unit, or weigh up whats worth more the sub frame or alarm and loom?? and then sacrifice one or tother?

Re: Meta Alarm Removal
Yes TSM it has got a connector but it won't go through the access holes I'm sure, although I will try tomorrow. Rather looks like the alarm was placed first then the wires pushed through.
Thanks chaps |
