Default Whats needed to make a carby 650 make 72bhp?

Well basicly as the title. I'm looking (suprise suprise with that bhp) to convert my road sv to minitwins. is it just a jetting change required or more? can you make the carby competitive still?

Any help would be magic.

the one i just bought (fully setup minitwins carby) makes 69 but the lad riding it finished inside the top ten in Bemsee so i dont think its all about numbers on a dyno. My bike was treated with an ohlins shock and i know theres no way the front suspension is stock, it works too well! i think the key is probably weight reduction and setup of suspension etc but im no expert, im just getting my head around it all now

just an exhaust with jetting it should pull 72. my nackerd old road curvy hit 69.3 on dyno with a crash mangled end can so was blowing bad and running lean. pretty sure that fork internals can be changed in minitwins though cant they? 'twowheels' is onit there though, weight reduction (which i think is against the rules but meh :P) and a generally decent setup is key, then just ride to gain the extra few tenths :P

Got a power run booked in as I got it with a high level exhaust on already, let's just hope it has been jetted then. Got an elka shock on order, don't know where to get the fork internals thou.

What fork internals do you want, you can retrofit GSXR cartridge inside, legally. I did some for Berlin on here.

All in, with all springs and parts the prices vary. Most basic is just springs and oil at about £110 + fitting, then emulators springs and oil at about £200 fitted (cheap emulators and my prices, racetech and other shops are more), next up is cartridge conversions, looking about £350 for that all in or about £600 from maxton.

Springs sort the worst of the sins out, emulators are OK and have won lots of championships, cartridges can be fully adjustable and are very sexy

Due to you being a bit away how much for the cartridges, and the emulators, just sent to me.

Thank you Simon

You'd have to send me your forks for cartridges.

You can get some emulators from the states for about £50
