Delayed crash from assault on driver.
On arriving at work today I was greeted by another smashed up bus. Nothing new there! However, turns out the driver had been spat at by 'youths', got out of his cab to remonstrate with them and was then battered aswell for good measure. They then ran off, he got back behind wheel and drove on! Unfortunately about 8 miles up the road he blacked out and smashed into 2 parked cars. He was hospitalized but has now been released. C.I.D have been and fingerprinted etc. Just like to say us mechanics slag the drivers off regularly but I wouldn't do there job for twice my wage what with the scum they have to deal with.

Re: Delayed crash from assault on driver.
Probably will knowing this firm. They issue drivers with DNA kits to take saliva swabs when they are spat at! And disposable cameras for fraudulent crash claims. How bad is that before you go to work and pack your bag "wallet-check, phone-check, sarnies- check,KIT FOR BEING SPAT AT AT WORK!-check.

Re: Delayed crash from assault on driver.
I had a friend who worked as a bus driver, now he's no shrinking violet and is perfectly able and entirely willing to stand up for himself when needed.
He lasted about 7 months in the job, I've never seen anyone so miserable going to work, he chucked it in because the abuse and spitting just got too much for him, working from Tottenham bus garage didn't help of course, but his is apparently not an unusual experience all over the country.
