SV650 radiators
I haven't a scooby what model mine came off - it aint a pointy, but it fits....ish.
Found on ebay for 28 quid delivered and it's fine. Top mounts line up great, bottom one required a stainless steel bracket about 2 inches long fabricating to hold it back to the front cylinder head. The outlet pipes all line up as well, but the temp sender thingy is on the opposite side so cables might not reach - I can extend them though. I'm guessing it came off an S model because there's no rad cap or fitting for it, just a straight tube, so I'll have to source the required bits and a longer hose to the resevoir. I've also got to remake some mounts for the fan, as it won't fit on the left side which is where the mountings are for it on the rad, but that's not a problem cos there's plenty of room for it on the right. Looks like I'll be well inside the £1000 budget I've set aside for this track-bike project, cos there's virtually sod-all left to get sorted. Costs so far total less than £600 to buy a '53 plate very lightly dropped pointy SV and repair it to this level, and it's running, ready for an MOT and looking quite smart. Next job is to sort a Gixer K5 fairing and K4 race seat unit out. |

Re: SV650 radiators
If there's no radiator cap or fitting thereof I doubt it's an SV rad, I'm sure I haven't seen an SV with a remote cap etc. I'm sure all the ones I've seen have the cap top right corner.

Re: SV650 radiators
My Sv1000 has an extension tube upto the pressure cap. The cap is right up underneath the fairing whereas my 650 cap goes straight onto the radiator. Both are 2005my bikes.
