Well I get to ride out to the other side of Bala possibly later this coming week. I have a laptop I’m refurbishing for someone and I’ll need to deliver it to them. There are a couple of fine, gnarly, mountain roads to be traversed to get there too. I shall do it on a sunny day.

I'd be interested for your view on how much traffic etc there was if you get out.

A couple of people on the MotoUK Reddit forum have posted about having long rides in Wales and seeing plenty of police cars without being pulled over.

Cracking 90 mile round trip to deliver the laptop. A bit of spotty rain in places but not enough to warrant breaking out the waterproofs.

Oooooh, smashing. Can't WAIT to get over the border from Monday. It's ****ing wet here but meant to dry out for next week. If I get away for a day I'll PM you.

Definitely, give me a shout.

If you want food and drink on the ride you'd be advised to bring sandwiches and a flask with you as there's not much open in the way of cafes etc, and those that are will only be takeaway.

Besides, a cuppa and a sandwich sat up in the mountains, looking at the view, away from the rest of the human race sounds preferable to sharing space with some of the vile specimens of humanity about whom I've read and seen pictures recently.

Or am I just a grumpy, anti-social old git?
