Off on first test ride since SV
I haven't really done test rides up until this point. for the SV I tested a naked knowing I wanted a sport as it was all that was available and I just wanted to try something like it. I've said for the last 2-3 years though that I'd like to go and test ride some bikes, mainly for fun but to give myself a better appreciation of kinds of bikes etc. And after seeing all the test ride threads and being jealous I decided to actually do something.
I've not taken a small step though, I've decided to go for broke with my first one and test ride my dream bike and see if it lives up to the expectation. Tomorrow afternoon, I'm gonna have an extended lunchtime blast on one of these: I saw on Suzuki's website that my local dealer had one on demo so decided to go for it. Will report back no doubt, I just had to tell someone and I'm resisting telling my wife, will just ride home on it tomorrow lunchtime just for comedy effect

Try and ride the Busa back to back with the ZZR14 if you can.
I'm not being biased because the OH has one, but they are slightly more refined. Many who Pete has chatted to that have done this, have found the ZZR to be better. Busa quite snatchy one point to look out for.

Hehe yeah that is going to be interesting, I've got a section of private driveway earmarked for a quick test of that very feature. Quote:
Yeah doubling the CC's could be interesting, definitely going on roads I know well as I need as little else to think about as possible. Least if I know the roads I'm not having to concentrate as much on them and more on the bike and control etc. (thats my theory anyway, if I come back looking camouflaged with bits of bushes sticking out you know I was talking cobblers ) Why isn't it tomorrow already?! I feel like a kid at Christmas now

Re: Off on first test ride since SV
PROS: The S1000RR was really stable, fits nice doesnt shake its head under hard acceleration, has a quickshifter which took some getting used to, sounds gourgeous, isnt scary at all as the power is linear, great handling and comfortable for a sports bike
CONS: Vibey through the clipons so got a fair bit of finger tingle and its a common complaint buut the salesman said fitting it with foam grip sorts that. Hit a couple of false neutrals but salesman said demo bike has had a hard life. Needs about 4K to get it off the line without baulking which is a trait with the engine.
