Don't bother turning up to any of the rideouts I organise then - 'cos I ALWAYS run a touchy-feely, 'pansy' marker system !!

FYI - a marker system is actually the best way to ride when you have people of differing levels of ability - the TEC ensures that everyone can ride at a pace at which they feel comfortable and at the same time ensuring that no-one gets left behind.

I can only assume that you have no wish to ride with anyone 'below' your level in case they (God forbid) hold you up?

I have no problem whatsoever wearing a cap that says I run a marker system.

It'll go nicely with the Road Captain tabard.

Don't have one of those - sorry.

I'm puzzled though as to how your rideouts are actually organised ?

Assuming for one moment that by Road Captain you mean ride leader (and BTW the only clubs I know that use the term RC are the 'chopper' 'patch' clubs - something you'd like to share wish us ??) then yes, the rideouts I organise always have one, along with a Tail-End-Charlie. If yours don't - and I can only assume by your sarcasm that you don't - how do you manage the ride?

Do you just say "here's where we are, here's where we're going, these are the roads I intend to take, I'll see you there?"

Kind of bizarre really !!

The lady friend is visiting this wekend, so may have to give this one a miss unfortunately.

Andy, I hope your ride-out goes well, make sure you post up anymore you plan to do and I'll try and attend.

Have fun, and ride safe!

I wont be there. Shame really as you come close to my neck of the woods for the second horse. I would have been able to meet you there and rode to most of the other horses. Another time...
