Re: Joined the van owning club
OK serious question
I bought the van for my lad. as in he got, i paid. So no longer needed I am claiming ownership When I bought it. I paid the deposit on a very expensive insurance policy. His mum pays the monthly installments. So reading the paperwork tonight. The company that provides the financial package for the sons insurance want £20 cancellation fee. Plus well hidden 15% 15% of what. is that 15% of the premium? 15% of what they think they are going to charge? ie, premium plus commission. 15% of the outstanding policy payment. The daft thing according to my very simply calcs is that it is probably cheaper to pay 11/12 months than cancel the policy.

Re: Joined the van owning club
Ask for a cancellation figure from them Tim, if its high you can appeal.
I did this once with Adrian flux insurance, i felt they were taking the p*ss so threatened them with the ombudsman and they backed down. |

Re: Joined the van owning club
i wanted to cancel my bike policy after selling it, had 2 months left, they had the cheek to say i owed them £50 after fee's and commission etc. Needless to say i ignored this letter and let the policy run out!!
