The Lincoln Project
My son is American so I tend to follow US politics. There's a group of Republicans that loathe Trump and it's funny, in some ways, because the man behind it is George Conway, his wife is Kellyanne Conway, a Trump advisor. I bet that makes for interesting dinner conversations.

I think he could be considered funny if he hadn't sowed so much division within the US. His handling of the virus has been appalling and he is still saying that the rise in cases is due to increased testing. I have family in California and a friend in Arkansas - where the cult of Trump is strong.
The US democratic system is based on 3 way checks and balances in the Legislature, Executive and Judicial branches. It was never expected that a nutter President would be installed with a crony in the Senate (Moscow Mitch) and a corrupt attorney general (William Barr). In addition the makeup of the US Supreme court has been manipulated so that conservative judges have been appointed who should favour Trump (although they didn't in the recent tax return debacle). Trump, as a media figure was comical, as a President he is damaging.
