Default Chain and sprockets

Ive done a search, but nothing seems to come up with an answer saying do this!

I need to change my chain/sprokets but I dont want to take off the swing arm, so that rules out OEM. I want to keep standard gearing and want good life from it, so thats steel sprokets.

what should I get?
And it really needs to be done by next sat when we go to France

Thanks for the help boys and girls

With the curvy OEM set they do include a soft link to rivet it with as well, so you could split the endless, install it and then rivet it. Don't know if it's the same with a pointy OEM set though.

It is the same with the pointy. Just cut the endless chain and use the supplied soft link.

thanks, Is the OEM one the best route then? Can you get it online? I tried to google for it but could only find aftermarket ones.

i normally get a chain and sprocket kit from wemoto costs about ?90 or so depending on what chain you get. i normally get izumi chain as it comes with a soft rivet link and a spring link, i fit it with the spring link and ride to my normal bike shop and get them to fit the soft link they charge me a fiver or there abouts

JT sprockets and tsubaki chain. Comes with a rivet link. I think mine came from B and C, recommended by spanner man anyway.

have a look here, scroll down to chain and sprocket kits. I normally get the izumi chain, a few people on here don't rate tsubaki chains

http://shop.wemoto.com/index.dyn?oid=5834298

Edit: Scrap that it's Iris chains that people don't rate

Is there much/any differance in the DID and Izumi chain? The kit is £10 different, worth it?

cheers

I knew that one, you get what you pay for

Also the tsubaki I'm running is one of the stupidly-heavy-duty ones to compensate for the fact that I'm very lazy when it comes to maintenence of chains.
