Default thundersprint Northwich

Not been in here for a while so I thought Id pop in and ask you guys a question. For years the annual thundersprint has been a good reason for me to go back home to Northwich(well I did need a reason). This morning I have noticed that mates back home are posting on the dreaded facebook that the sprint is moving to Anglesey . I can't get hold of them , so do you tribe have any news about it ,
cheers
Gid

I haven't heard anything, but if it does the event will die as a day out IMHO. It would just become another race meeting.

Shame really but the 'sprint' in the car park was a bit daft. Just means an excuse to go to Anglsey instead!

Thats My mates and also my thoughts .The fact that it is held in the middle of a town makes it a bit different. Are there any towns in Anlesey that could host it?

The whole point of it was the silly sprint IMO! I used to go because it was different and fun, now it will be an event at a race track, no different to club racing that happens every week.

If they really had to take it out of Northwich, then Oulton Park would have kept it local, so non-bikey peeps who just go to this on their doorstep may still go. Taking it to Anglesey will lose it's fan base. A shame if that happens, I hope I'm wrong.

Only read the BBC article quickly but I assume it will all take place at the circuit. The highlight for me was to have the likes of Crutchlow etc in our town and looked forward to Spitfire going over. Still at least the event hasn't died and it will hopefully attract a larger audience. Near the time I'll see if a few of us want to set off from J&S and make a ride out of it.

I'll join you! I've stunned myself because I've never actually been, and it's only about 25 mins away, if that!

It'll be such a shame if it moves. It was a very special event in Northwich.
