I keep a couple of spare Gel Motorcycle batteries in my Kitchen and the cheap charger like mine/yours has caused them no harm.

One is my Motobatt for my SV now as a swap and the other is a Motobatt from from my old and gone for now old Honda CX500s. I still have one made from spares in my garage that I may put back on the road sometime but I need to swap the engine for a spare I have

PS

The CX becomes tax and MOT free next year as it's a 1980

Same here, I've had several car batteries from them, always very quick delivery and the packaging is first class.
