New Speed Cameras
Well I assume it is one, it's about half a mile in the air and painted yellow, and one the A219 going from Wimbledon towards the A3. Rear facing, in a smaller than normal box, sort of similar in size to a bus lane camera, but there is no bus lane here. Height of pole is somewhere around the height of a street lamp? Only saw it cos I was going the other way.
Keep looking up...... MT

those would be monitron cameras.. there's been a few around here for getting on for 2 years now, supposed to be more vandalproof.
they don't work on radar i think, they use loops in the road the chances of getting a NIP off these are close to 100% as they are entirely digital and link to the ticketing office via broadband connections here's the output from one: |

Theyve put one up on City Road - looks like a small yellow bird box...
Its by the garage where theres too many idiots speeding with 4 turnings there. Well saw one car narrowly miss a major prang around there only because the bus hadn't moved. He got into the bus lane to avoid ramming car in front and I swear he passed my window at around 60... There are some places cameras are good. Thats one of them tbh. Damn, did I really just say that?? |

Sneeky
Gonna need to get one of those £99 Camera detectors I think. There was an aritcle in MCN recent about those, be careful! I agree with the Cameras to a point, but they are getting quite sneeky about it |

Yep. They have just put a pair of these up (One appeared overnight!) on the A40, just before acton (by homebase, if you know it)
