Alright. Won't worry about it.
Won't be commuting on it as work from home. Will be for pleasure and nothing else
I just like looking at it and wiping the last 30seconds worth of dust off.
I put the baffle back in the exhaust as it's a bit noisy and went for a ride. When I came back the baffle was gone! It'll be in a tree trunk somewhere around Leighton Buzzard :/

I would guess that the bars are lower on the 'S' than on the naked variants ( eg. Gladius and AL7 ) and this can put strain on wrists, the height of bars on my AL7 means less weight on wrists and more on your bum (a more 'touring' position). There are threads on forum about people fitting higher bars to deal with wrist ache.

Just a couple above, search handlebars or raised

where it belongs (other than for the MOT)! the sv engine is not one that should be quietened!

I've done 500 miles in one day on it, from home here in mid Wales to Fort William. Tired at the end of it but no serious aches or pains. They are generally very reliable, just change oil and filters regularly and they will go forever.

It's worth taking the time to get to know the bike. Eight years on and mine still puts a smile on my face every time I ride it.

I've got to agree with this, I got my first sv in 2003/2004 but I would then trade
it in for something bigger and more powerful but would soon miss the sv. I'm now on my 4th sv

Appreciate all the congrats and advice guys. Didn't expect such a reaction
I'm not power hungry and have a lot to learn so see myself with my SV for some time!

Congratulations and welcome!!

I've been wanting to replace my sv for a few years but I can't find anything that can do what the SV does.
It not the best at anything but it's damn good at everything.
Sport riding, two up riding, touring, commuting, even light off roading.
I can ride the thing sideways spinning like a dirt bike if its on loose gravel.
(note: not for the inexperienced)
