Out and about on this honda demo with an e-clutch. I was curious to try it out. It's quite impressive although pulling away from a standstill is quite abrupt but I learnt to find it's bite point and it became more smoother after that. I deliberately rode in heavy traffic and some tight maneuvers such a U turns etc and it was fine

CB650? part of me is very curious to know what these auto and semi-auto bikes are like. I love my autobox car after all.

Yes a CB650R. Not a bad bike but not really my cuppa. It didn't feel particularly rapid compared to the 750 Hornet. It had a very linear power delivery and needed to be rev'd hard to get the performance. I didn't have that punch that you get with a twin. Also halfway through the ride my hands were tingling due to the vibrations through the bars. You couldn't get more different to my Transalp.

Pictures from the Hurdy Gurdy build of the last few days. Pretty much all of this was done by daughter Eleri with minimal intervention on my part. She's just gone to see a woodworking/artist friend of hers down the road to collect the key box lid which has been painted black and with a red dragon and Celtic knot design.

It is John. We had to do a small amount of fettling to the wheel to true it, but largely everything has gone smoothly. Eleri is stringing it at the moment.

The finished hurdy gurdy. Eleri is taking it to a friend who builds full sized hurdy gurdies when she gets back to Caerdydd tomorrow as he's promised to help her set it up properly.
Eleri is already getting tunes out of it!
