Evening all.

Looking forward to my ride tomorrow, but I think I shall be using my heated vest! Weather looks pretty good but chilly. I've decided not to risk doing my back in getting the bike onto the road by pushing it. I was just going to start it and ride it out, and sod the neighbours, but I've compromised and parked it on the road with the bike cover over it. Need to be away by 7am, so it'll be an early night tonight I think.

Hope everyone has had a decent day.

Been very hectic here at Trev Towers today. Crazy busy work day but I cut the lawn at lunchtime and prepped the patio for grouting after I shut the laptop. Two estate agents coming round tomorrow and one more on Thursday so the planned move is starting to feel a lot more real.

I'd much rather be shopping for bikes... but that'll have to wait until next year. Who knows, it might turn out to be the SV7-GX as something a bit lighter and smaller would be nice.

Afternoon all. Grey and very wet here today. Just been out for a few miles with Mabel, but it was a full waterproofs job!

Bit of a monster of a day yesterday. I had a half day conference to attend in Llandudno, so I went on the bike. It was a bit chilly at 7am so I was very glad of the heated vest. I went over the top from Llangynog to Bala, and then down the side of Llyn Celyn on the A4212 with the intention of using the B4391 to Blaenau Ffestiniog. However when I got to the B4391 I discovered it was closed. Ratbags, spoiling my fun! Still, even if it had been open it would have been a slightly more sedate ride than normal as it was raining lightly all the way from Bala to Blaenau Ffestiniog. Brightened up after that though, and most of the ride back after the conference was in sunshine and slightly higher temperatures.

It was a 155 mile round trip and made me realise how un-bikefit I am, not having done a ride of that length for a few months. Good to get in a decent length ride though, and my back suffered no ill effects from it either.

Anyone else made it out on the bike lately?

I managed to get out yesterday for a spin to Whitchurch. No rain but very blustery, my head got a battering.

Not yet, but I have a couple of days off next week and will be down to a three day week shortly after, so should have time soon. It has to stop raining at some point. Right?

Morning all. What a difference a day makes. After the rain and high winds of yesterday, we now have sunshine, blue sky, a sharp frost, and no wind here.

The frost probably means no riding today, at least this morning, but I shall certainly be heading out into the hills for a walk with Mabel. If it warms up enough later I'll get on with a few of the gardening jobs that need doing too.

What's everyone else up to this weekend?

My son is up from Brighton for the weekend, so we'll probably do something for mother's day.
