It would be great if SV had the style of the Cagiva Raptor............ They chose Suzuki engine in preference to Triumph Triple, only the acquisition of MV Augusta killed this great bike.

One thing I like about SV650 is it is still made in Japan, that counted when I was looking at bikes.

I agree about the silencer, I used high temp black paint to paint the silver guard on the exhaust and the pipes and CAT under the bike, that improved it as it kinda blends in better now, I would not waste money on an aftermarket silencer as the OEM one actually sounds OK (sounds much better to others than it does to rider LOL).

I had to change the stock exhaust on my Curvy. It was just too quiet.Like riding a sewing machine.Didn't feel like riding a Motorcycle to me.I'm a musician, among other things,so I needed some,"Music"

I was out riding and leading a Triumph Street Triple. The guy complimented me on the sound when we stopped for a coffee as he could here it whilst riding behind me

I've heard the sound of the A7s and they sound like a Motorcycle

I'm a musician too and wear ear plugs whilst playing in my band and riding bikes. As a result I can't really hear or appreciate the sound of my bike. I suppose others can but I have no desire to change my end can just yet.

Got to sit on the SV650X today at the bike show. Quite liked it.

I sat on an SV as well, the tank is so skinny, too skinny I thought. Felt like it would be an effortless ride though.

Bike is basically AL7 - narrow seat and tank definitely help those with vertically challenged lower limbs LOL

AL7 is pretty much an effortless ride, Suzuki have done very well to come up with such a bike at low price, mine is not used for commuting but it is just perfect for leisure use and low price helps to justify it to 'her indoors'** as a toy rather than a tool (** otherwise known as 'the accountant')

Tough getting things past the accountant, I use the method of exposure. By that I mean if she gets used to seeing pictures of say a Daytona or whatever eventually she will come round to the idea.
