Well done on reaching that landmark, too many people are keeling over and not drawing their pensions these days, stress must be a factor.

How true. Most of my colleagues who retire look ten years younger within a few weeks.I had an operation a couple of years ago that resulted in a period of long term sick on Dr's orders and it got embarrassing when my colleagues and my guvnor started commenting on how well I looked after a month off work.

Actually it changed my life in that it caused me to decide to get out of my current job sooner rather than later whatever the cost.Ill do another two years or even less if they make life too awkward.

If things stay the same, I'll be able to retire in 7 years time when I'm 60. My two previous bosses retired at 55, which seems very appealing right now. But wether I can afford to, will depend on what my youngest wants to do, as she'll only be 16

I feel sorry for my younger colleagues who'll retire at 67 at the moment

I'd better keep paying in to the pot!! Try not to spend it all at once RH!!

Also think of us a little (tiny bit) when we all find out next year how much longer we have to work to get less than we would have when we signed up......
