Default Sunrise

Had some sad news at the weekend.

My Mum passed away on Saturday. So hard to write that. It's been a totally devastating few days.

We're away in Cornwall for my son's birthday, away from family. We've tried to keep things as normal as possible for the kids but it's been tough.

Awake very early again this morning. Waking up and being hit by reality each day is a real punch.

This morning I was treated to a good sunrise over the valley. The sort you look at and wish you could share with all the people who are no longer around to see these things. To have one last chance.

Adam, really sorry to hear your news, don't know if it was expected or out of the blue, but our thoughts are will you.

Its always very hard to lose your folks, I lost my mum Christmas 2018, but we knew she didn't have long.

Just cherish the happy times you had together, every day the pain will ease, just a bit

So sad to hear this Adam. I know how you must be feeling, having lost my mum some 16 years back.

Sorry to hear that. Keep the good memories close. And you're right, that is a lovely sunrise.

Sorry to hear it mate. TBH I never know what you're supposed to do or say at times like this. When my dad passed away my little daughter just came and sat on my knee and gave me a hug when I was teary, told me it was all going to be alright, and you could tell she meant it. One day we'll all get together again in Valhalla and it'll be like old times.

Great pic, it would have been something to sit and look at for some time I'd say.

So sorry to hear this Adam. It's not easy losing anyone close to you let alone a parent. She'll always be with you though in spirit.

I have read this thread a few times, and wanted to comment, but it's so difficult to know what to say.
I lost my Dad over 15 years ago,he was a massive influence on me, and i loved him dearly.
Whenever i think of him,it's joy mixed with a massive kick in the teeth.
Your sunrise picture is very apt (at least for me) whenever i see the sunrise or sunset i think of him.
Also when i see the sunrise i think of the people i still have with me,which makes me a little happier.
I guess what I'm trying to say is,i know a little bit of your pain, and hope you can deal with it as well as any of us ever do.
Life can be so cruel sometimes.
