I take it you have a modified battery box as the YT fits fine in my K6 with just a piece of packing foam to take up its difference in thickness....

I don’t think it’s modified box; as I replaced YTX12, with Y12B - YTX is one fitted by Suzuki and measure 150 x 87 x 130 whereas Y12B the one I fitted is 150x69x130, I chose this battery over the recommended one because of it higher CCA that’s is 210 in place of 180

yes I did the same but my battery box has a hard plastic liner thing and then a square rubber base so any size battery would just sit in it. As I say with my YT the only possible movement is backwards and forwards so a 1" thick foam packer behind the battery holds it firmly in place.
Some people chop or remove the battery box to allow the fitment of a rear shock with reservoir....

Oh ok; mine too plastic walls, but base in the middle is open and through down to tool kit storage, can say like railway / train tracks and square rubber base on it, so battery rest on these 2 parallel hard base, but as battery is thinner it can either rest on front or on rear, so it’s middle which I may have to secure next time I remove seat
